Mudride Radio is a monthly mixtape podcast. Born in October 2011, Mudride Radio has been bringing monthly music mixes to the masses!
Requests are welcome and I also encourage listeners to create their own IDs and drops that I can work into the mixes. Drop me a note on the request line and I'll get you my contact info.

July July. However the weather, wherever you are, it’s time to travel, well, back to the future…of sorts! Shockingly, we’ve gone 34 Mudcasts without an 80s tribute. Three 90s mixes, but nothing to celebrate the highlighter-color-fueled haze that was the 80s. So put on your Hypercolor shirts and checkerboard Vans, and let’s go!
If you like what you’re hearing, do everything you can to support the artists (wherever they are, whatever they’re doing now)! That’s how they make a living, so we gotta do our part! For August, I’m genuinely honored to be bringing you a very special reggae mix. A little something to mellow you out as summer (or winter) drags on! Stay tuned!
June is still a couple days away, but it is the start of the weekend and dammit, we need new tunes by which we can all rock out! And rock we shall! One more good ripper of a rock mix to kick off your official start to summer (at least on the upper half of the planet).
If you like what you’re hearing, do everything you can to support the artists! That’s how they make a living, so we gotta do our part! Next month I’m super excited to bring you a rad (yes, rad) all-80s mix! Stay tuned!

Getting repped in The Netherlands!
May is here and for, at least, the Northern hemisphere, it’s starting to heat up! And this month I’m excited to bring you a follow-up mix from DJ BatzelB of the Old City Oil Drippers. I give BatzelB lots of credit for encouraging me to start Mudride Radio in the first place because it was he who kept a library of the old Hoodride Radio mixes. So thank you, sir, and on with the tunes!
If you like what you’re hearing, do everything you can to support the artists! That’s how they make a living, so we gotta do our part! What I started building as Mudcast 33, I’ll go ahead and release next month as Mudcast 34. It’ll be another rocker, so we’ll get you squared away with some good tunes to BBQ by!
No pranks here, today, folks! Just pure Mudride Radio goodness! Mudcast 32 has been a long time coming and started as Mudcast 30, then got pushed back to Mudcast 31…then got pushed back to Mudcast 32. And now it’s here to keep your ears company while you wait for someone to prank you!
If you like what you’re hearing, do everything you can to support the artists! That’s how they make a living, so we gotta do our part! Not sure where I’m headed for Mudcast 33. I’m definitely looking for more guest DJs and I’m seeking good songs off which to base the next mix.
A little backstory on this Mudcast, folks. I was working with a tracklist (that will now likely be #32) that hadn’t quite gelled yet. At the same time, I was getting back into playing Gran Turismo 4 (yes, 4, I only have a PS2) and had collected a bunch of tracks from the various GT soundtracks and had really become focused on the idea of driving passion and what that means to car guys.
During that period, I also learned that my dad (who I credit greatly with raising me a gearhead) had, over the past few months, suffered from two small strokes. He’s also been diagnosed diabetic and he’s really taken a hit to his health. And that really hit me. I’ve lost grandparents, but for some reason I always saw my folks as untouchable. Well, that got me very introspective for a while and when I couldn’t find quotes from pop culture that truly captured what was in my mind, I just turned on the digital recorder and started talking. And much of that comprises the samples in this month’s mix.
So, it’s more of me than I like to hear in any given mix, but I’m happy that it also serves as a bit of a tribute to my roots of automotive passion.
If you like what you’re hearing, do everything you can to support the artists! That’s how they make a living, so we gotta do our part! And if you’re now utterly sick of hearing me talk over music, hang tight for next month’s mix. I promise there’ll be a lot less of that!

Ladies and gentlemen, I am thrilled to bring you Mudcast #30. Why is this such a big deal? Well, I’ve always shared that Hoodride Radio was my inspiration to start Mudride Radio. Hoodride lasted 29 episodes before the movement fell apart. So to reach 30 and still be going strong, I am stoked! And I want to thank all of you for the support, too!
This month, I welcome a new contributor, DJ BatzelB of the Old City Oil Drippers and he’s put together a real classic!
